Releases: Chat Update on TWELVE Discipleship App

Here’s what you need to know about our chat upgrades!

In this update, we're focusing on our core purpose. We gave chat some love!

Over the last year alone:

• 195,000+ messages sent   

• 11,000 leaders and students served

• 354 new ministries enrolled

We cannot thank God enough for all that has been accomplished, and that’s exactly why this upgrade couldn’t have come at a better time.

Here’s What’s New:

Faster, Cleaner, and More Responsive

Chats are now quicker and smoother, so conversations feel instant! We upgraded the inner workings of an already awesome chat and refined key areas, so everything feels better. Every part was tightened up to prepare us for what’s coming next!

More Accurate Notifications

No more long private message names getting cut off. Notifications now take you straight to the message that matters.

Show off your High Scores

We added new styling to trivia score shares, so celebrating wins is way more fun.

Here’s how to try it:

1. Complete a game of trivia

2. Tap ‘Share to Chat’

3. Choose the chat you want to flex your high score in

It’s an easy way to spark friendly competition, get more students involved, and help everyone remember sermons and Bible stories long after youth night ends.

Send and Read Receipts are Here

You can now see when everyone in your group has read a message. Need to know if every student or leader saw your announcement? The double-check icon under your message lets you know when everyone has read it.

Introducing Message of Concern Moderation

Messages that may be concerning or need attention, such as self-harm, bullying, or harassment, are highlighted in red for admins and even get their own special notification. This adds an extra layer of moderation to help keep conversations safe.

Admin Portal Changes

The old messaging system is now marked as legacy. While it’s still available for reference, we’ve introduced a brand-new messaging view. You can now search through messages instantly without needing to press “Load More” each time.
